【起雲閣】
1919年（大正8）実業家の別荘として建てられたのが始まり。その後、鉄道王として知られる根津嘉一郎氏の別荘として洋館2棟が建てられました。当時は「熱海の三大別荘」として称賛されました。1947年（昭和22）には旅館「起雲閣」として生まれ変わり、谷崎潤一郎、太宰治などの文豪が滞在。1000坪の池泉回遊式庭園や洋館玉姫の建物、ローマ風浴室など、見どころ豊富。NHKの朝のテレビ小説「花子とアン」のロケ地としても有名です。喫茶スペースも併設。

[Kiunkaku]
It started in 1919 (Taisho 8) as a villa for a businessman. After that, two Western-style buildings were built as villas for Mr. Kaichiro Nezu, known as the king of railroads. At that time, it was praised as one of the "Three Great Villas in Atami". In 1947 (Showa 22), it was reborn as a ryokan "Kiunkaku", where great writers such as Junichiro Tanizaki and Osamu Dazai stayed. There are plenty of places to see, such as the 1,000 tsubo pond pond garden, the Western-style Tamahime building, and the Roman-style bathroom. It is also famous as a filming location for NHK's morning TV novel "Hanako and Anne". There is also a cafe space.
