日光山輪王寺
奈良時代に開創された天台宗三本山の一つ。お堂や塔、15の支院全体を総称して「日光山輪王寺」と呼ばれ、“日光の社寺”として世界遺産に登録されています。日光三山の本地仏をまつるお堂「三仏堂」は日光山最大の規模を誇る木造建造物で、千手観音（男体山）・阿弥陀如来（女峰山）・馬頭観音（太郎山）三体の仏像が祀られます。
日光山輪王寺は天台宗の寺院で、日光東照宮、日光二荒山神社とあわせた「二社一寺」として国の史跡に指定されています。また、「日光の社寺」として世界遺産にも登録されています。

Nikko Rinnoji Temple
One of the three main temples of the Tendai sect founded in the Nara period. The hall, pagoda, and 15 branch temples are collectively called “Nikkosan Rinnoji”, and it is registered as a World Heritage Site as “Shrines and Temples of Nikko”. Sanbutsudo is the largest wooden structure in Mt. Nikko that enshrines the honjibutsu of the three mountains of Nikko. Buddha statues are enshrined here.
Rinnoji Temple is a temple of the Tendai sect of Buddhism, and together with Nikko Toshogu Shrine and Nikko Futarasan Shrine, it is designated as a national historic site. It is also registered as a World Heritage site as "Shrines and Temples of Nikko".
