西方寺



仙台駅から車で約50分。大倉ダムから5km先に平家落人の里として知られ、昔から、一生に一度の大願も叶えていただける如来様として多くの参拝者が訪れます。特に縁結び、子宝、安全祈願に御利益があるといわれ、御祈祷を受けながら願掛けをするのが習わし。また、安徳天皇の遺品を埋葬したと言われる天皇塚は、縁結びのパワースポットとして有名。境内には、登録有形文化財の山門、鐘楼堂、御廟「貞能堂」、手水舎、御守授所がある。そのほか総青森ヒバ作りの五重塔、大本堂も必見。

In particular, it is said that there are benefits to marriage, child treasure, and prayers for safety, and it is customary to pray while receiving prayers. The emperor mound, which is said to have buried the relics of Emperor Antoku, is famous as a power spot for marriage. In the precincts, there are a registered tangible cultural property, Sanmon, a bell tower, a mausoleum "Sadayoshi-do", a Chozuya, and an amulet. In addition, the main hall, a five-storied pagoda made by Aomori Hiba, is also a must-see.
