東北有数の美しい庭園が見事！伊達家ゆかりの寺

伊達氏の第11代当主が開基。政宗公が仙台城を構えた際に現在の場所に移されました。明治9年の大火で、仁王門のみを残して焼けてしまいましたが、1903年に住職になられた福定無外和尚の尽力によって復活。境内には、白虎隊の最後の生き残りである飯沼貞吉のお墓もあり、お参りを目的に訪れる歴史好きの方もいます。美しい庭園は池を中心にして園路があり様々な角度から風景を楽しめる、池泉回遊式庭園の様式。4月はつつじ、6～7月のアヤメや花菖蒲、秋の紅葉の時期は、特に美しく参拝客で賑わいます。また、土曜の夜（18:25～20:00）には座禅会を開催。申込不要かつ無料で参加できるので、ぜひ体験してみてください。

The 11th head of the Date clan opened. It was moved to its current location when Masamune set up Sendai Castle. It was burnt in the great fire of 1903, leaving only the Niomon gate, but it was revived by the efforts of Fukusada Osho, who became a priest in 1903. In the precincts, there is also the tomb of Sadakichi Iinuma, the last survivor of Byakkotai, and some history lovers visit for the purpose of worshiping. The beautiful garden has a garden path centered on the pond, and you can enjoy the scenery from various angles. Azaleas in April, irises and irises from June to July, and autumn leaves are especially beautiful and crowded with worshipers. In addition, a meditation session will be held on Saturday night (18: 25-20: 00). You don't need to apply and you can participate for free, so please try it.
