杜の都・仙台のシンボル定禅寺通には、西公園と勾当台公園を結ぶかのように、約700mにわたりケヤキ並木が続いています。

ケヤキの大樹に包まれた通りの中央にある緑道を歩くと、イタリアの著名な彫刻家が制作した「夏の思い出」や「オデュッセウス」「水浴の女」の彫刻に出会い、芸術に親しむことができます。
